TORRANCE, Calif. -- July 21, 2004 -- iCRco, Inc. today announces the release of its “Rapid Preview” and “Advanced Print” software, both of which offer greater workflow efficiency and improved functionality to its low-cost computed radiography products.
Rapid Preview allows a real-time preview of ultra high-quality images, which begin to appear as the scan is in process, enabling viewing in seconds. Most competing technology requires a full 1 to 3 minutes to scan, plus an additional 30-40 seconds before the image appears. By reducing the wait to review the results of a radiographic examination, Rapid Preview significantly improves workflow and reduces waiting time.
“Within the first 20 lines or so, a technician will be able to tell if there was any motion that will require an additional scan,” said Sales of iCRco. “That’s a huge advantage, particularly if the patient is, say, a squirming infant whose mother is not going to welcome being called back for a repeat.”
Advanced Print enables a family of features including unlimited customized layouts, real-time, window-leveling (W/L) and customized image optimization. iCRco’s Advanced Print greatly improves the print functionality and customization options for institutions that use film.
“Technicians who use film often group several images on one sheet,” he noted, “Advanced Print allows them to adjust the brightness and contrast of each image, rather than using one setting for entire film.”
iCRco offers a three-year warranty on imaging plates, This eliminates the need to replace costly imaging plates, as is required with older computed radiography technology that, in some cases, is still on the market.
“Our customers can improve their business and clinical operations by partnering with iCRco,” he said. “Our innovative, high quality and cost effective computed radiography systems have quickly moved to the front of the pack in features, quality and cost-effectiveness."
The iCRco line provides ultra high-quality image acquisition, advanced quality control and diagnostic review in a single compact, cost-effective unit. It is available as a complete CR system that combines:
• Automatic cassette handling
• Automatic laser scanners
• Automatic erasable phosphor plates
• Advanced image processing
• Management software on a PC-based review station.
The compact 75-pound system is designed for small spaces, and can hang on a wall or sit on a desktop. The system is affordable to purchase and maintain.
Innovative and affordable, iCRco flat-scan path technology produces extremely high-quality images, performance and dramatically lower cost of ownership. Individual CR digitizers may be placed in RAD rooms, ERs and remote hospital wards alongside x-ray generators. Technologists can remain in the exam rooms throughout the entire imaging process, streamlining quality control and retaking of images.
